Our vision at the American Society of Osteoporosis Providers (ASOP): Empower BHO healthcare providers by providing education, recognition, and data support in the bone health arena.
Reducing the global fracture rate and mitigating the societal financial burden of osteoporosis is a major challenge. Our unique approach entails offering multiple levels of education and certification-level testing to a diverse range of BHO team providers.
The need for BHO education runs throughout the entirety of the disease state team including Physicians, Advanced Practice Providers, pharmacists, physical therapists, nurses, discharge planners, care coordinators, healthcare leadership, and sales force (plus many more). Our plan is unique – provide targeted BHO education and certification level testing, honor the boundaries of a provider’s scope of practice, and enhance their level of knowledge. We will enhance and expand teams that are well-equipped with knowledge and skills to identify, evaluate, and treat an infinitely larger volume of BHO patients globally.
